Senior Design Class Assignment

Homework_1_layout

My first site plan and floor plans in AutoCAD. This assignment was fun up until, I realized that I had made the dimensions for the lots wrong and in the end I could fit the houses. The area of the lots I made the first time were not the ones specified in the assignment. So I had to start over.

From scratch.

It took me 7 hours to get this done. I started at 8pm and ended around 2am. The housing floor plans I did later at noon using Autodesk homestyler.

I found my art on a wallpaper site

I was reading an article over at Andrea Bianco's blog about paint overs and plagiarism. And it got me to thinking. I hope nothing of mine has been plagiarized. No mind you I only post on deviant art. I am a shy hobby artist so I really don't mind if not many people see's my work. I've been on deviant art for about 9 years and my page views are minimal (12,278 pageviews total). In other words, I don't exist on deviantart. Still out of curiosity I decied to do a google image search on my most popular work. (700 views is my most popular).

I found this:
http://www.thewallpapers.org/desktop/23175/girl-in-the-rain-wallpaper

and this,
http://weheartit.com/entry/13069407

The latter is flattering. I didn't know there was a website like that.

Now, whoever uploaded the work as a wallpaper took the time to flip the image and explode it for a larger screen size.  That I find a little bit insulting. I mean, the image is flipped. What was the point of that? It's sort of hurtful really. I don't mind my art being used as wallpaper. I just cannot take the fact that it was flipped. There is also no reference as to where the artwork came from which hurts too.

But that was it no plagiarism. Honestly, if I had found my art being plagiarized on some site I don't know what I would do. Like I said I am a shy hobby artist. I have a long way to go to master my art skills before I can consider myself a professional.

I post on my work online (deviant art) because in real life I don't know many artist. It gets kind of lonely. I've been pretty content with the 3 or four people that regularly checks up on me and my works.
